Individuals want to be held accountable through trustworthy relationships, yet are afraid of being controlled, generalized, falling behind, or being taken advantage of is the paradox of self-reliance and collective action.
My inspiration for writing this essay was motivated by Sebastian Junger, friend Maurice and many more individuals who have suffered from PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder). It is also a memoir for myself who experienced similar struggles due to my brought up experiences and militarized education since age three. I am still walking out of the consequences nowadays through self-healing, engaging with the community, and learning from Nature. Doing these things have set me free from my old path and taught me to be firmed to embrace new beginnings.
