Bible Verse Meditating, 21 May – 27 May, 2023
- 9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever;
The judgments of the Lord are true, they are righteous altogether.
10 They are more desirable than gold, yes, than much fine gold;
Sweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb.
11 Moreover, by them Your servant is warned [reminded, illuminated, and instructed];
In keeping them there is great reward.
——Psalm 19:9-11 (AMP) - 5 So also the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things. How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire!
6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life, and set on fire by hell.
——James 3:5-6 (ESV) - 10 The young lions lack [food] and grow hungry,
But they who seek the Lord will not lack any good thing.
——Psalm 34:10 (AMP) - 19 Now the practices of the sinful nature are clearly evident: they are sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality (total irresponsibility, lack of self-control),
20 idolatry, sorcery, hostility, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions [that promote heresies],
21 envy, drunkenness, riotous behavior, and other things like these. I warn you beforehand, just as I did previously, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
——Galatians 5:19-21 (AMP) - 4 And He will judge between the nations,
And will mediate [disputes] for many peoples;
And they will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks.
Nation will not lift up the sword against nation,
And never again will they learn war.
——Isaiah 2:4 (AMP) - Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
——1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (KJV) - 11 Not that I speak from [any personal] need, for I have learned to be content [and self-sufficient through Christ, satisfied to the point where I am not disturbed or uneasy] regardless of my circumstances.
12 I know how to get along and live humbly [in difficult times], and I also know how to enjoy abundance and live in prosperity. In any and every circumstance I have learned the secret [of facing life], whether well-fed or going hungry, whether having an abundance or being in need.
13 I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]

主啊，你已将你的大力大能显给仆人看，在天上，在地下，有什么神能像你行事、像你有大能的作为呢？求你力上加力，求神鉴察我的行事和言语，保守我的心思意念，好让我敬虔的降服在你的面前。你的言语是纯净的言语，如同银子在泥炉中炼过七次。求你使我在至圣的真道上造就自己，在圣灵里祷告，保守我常在神的爱中，仰望我主耶稣基督的怜悯，直到永生。帮助我今天和每一天都靠着圣灵的力量生活，因为出于你的话，没有一句不带能力的。请求你使我存温柔的心领受那所栽种的道，就是能救我灵魂的道，求你用你的圣灵充满我，好让我明白主的旨意。你的诚实存到万代，你坚定了地，地就长存。愿我的话语为您带来尊贵和荣耀。
